Cecelia Elizabeth Fitzpatrick Porter, 89, passed away April 20, 2026 in Mercy Hospital, Springfield, MO.  She was born in Philadelphia, PA daughter of Charles and Anna Fitzpatrick on December 17, 1936.  Cecelia attended Glen-nor High School in Philadelphia.

Cecelia married Frank Porter, Sr. in 1956 and lived in Lester, PA with their two children, Cheryl and Frank, Jr.

After Frank, Sr. retired from Westinghouse, Cecelia and Frank moved to Villas, NJ.  Cecelia was involved in over 3o years of volunteering at Cooper Cape Regional Hospital, blood drives, bingo and other activities to help others.

Cecelia moved to Fordland, Mo November 1, 2024 to live with her daughter Cheryl and son-in-law Bruce.  She enjoyed her last years spending time with family going to bingo, dinners and special events.  Cecelia spent Easter with her family this year.

In addition to her parents, Charles and Anna Fitzpatrick, she was preceded in death by her husband Frank Sr.; son Frank, Jr.; brother Charles and sister Anna (Nancy) Rau.

She is survived by her daughter, Cheryl (Bruce); brother Al (Jen); grandchildren Kelly, Michelle, and Cheryl; great grandchildren Jayden, Alan Jr., Riley and Morgan.  She has many nieces and nephews.  Cecelia had many friends in New Jersey especially Linda and Michael Brannon.  She also had made many friends in Missouri.

Funeral services in New Jersey will be Saturday, May 9, 2026 with visitation from 12PM until 1PM at Evoy Funeral Home 3218 Bayshore Road North Cape May NJ 08204.  Graveside services will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery 1056 Seashore Road Cape May NJ 08204.  After the ceremonies at the cemetery friends and family are invited to attend a luncheon at the Villas Fire Company.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Villas Fire Company 1619 Bayshore Road Villas NJ 08251.

Funeral Services in Missouri will be held May 23, 2026 at Northwest Baptist Church.  Times will be announced in the future.
