Robert Donald Dickinson Obituary

Robert Donald Dickinson passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 3, 2026. He was born on March 22, 1938, in Cold Spring NJ.


Robert retired from Acme Markets after 30 plus years of dedicated service. In his long and well-earned retirement, he found great joy in playing pool, often hosting games in his barn, aka “Bobs Barn,” which became a favorite gathering place for family and friends. He also enjoyed doing word search puzzles, spending time with loved ones, and helping others whenever he could.


A devoted member of the Moose, Robert spent countless happy hours with his Moose family at where he enjoyed fellowship, friendship, and community.


Robert is survived by his children: Robert M. Dickinson and his wife Margarita; Kevin Dickinson and his wife Imelda; Sheryl Dickinson and her companion Darren; Kimberly Dickinson; and Kenneth Dickinson and his wife Carrie. He is also survived by his brother, Richard Dickinson and his wife Jeanie, as well as 15 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.


Robert was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Joyce Dickinson; his father, William Dickinson; his mother, Clara Walker Dickinson; his brothers George Dickinson and his wife Rose, Bill Dickinson and his wife Joan, and Albert “Corky” Dickinson; and by Debra Sumner Dickinson, the first wife of his son, Robert M. Dickinson.


There will be a celebration of Robert’s life held at the Moose Lodge #1054 in Erma on his birthday, March 22, 2026, from 1 to 5pm where family and friends are invited to gather and share memories.
