John W. Towler Obituary

Obituary for Johnny Towler, as it was written by the love of his life, BetteAnn.

He was the love of my life. We have been married for 38 years. Our journey together has had a lot of ups and downs but he was always by my side and we handled everything together as a team. He was my strength and joy. He loved unconditionally. His love for me and our daughter Cassie was so strong and then we welcomed Ryan into our little family. Together they brought Owen into our lives. Owen and his Papa were best buddies and could always be found cuddling on the couch or doing silly things together.

Johnny was raised with 4 brothers including Bob his identical twin( but Johnny never failed to mention that he was the cooler one), Danny, Richie and Jimmy. They were always such a tight loving and supportive unit. His parents Bob and Rose raised them to be good honest and loving men and Johnny lived his life this way.

Johnny loved with his whole heart. He loved all his family, immediate and extended. This included his brother in law Jay and all his sister in laws, Doris, Linda, Linda, Diane and Lisa. He was proud to be Uncle Johnny to all of his nieces and nephews (he was always the cool uncle) He had so many friends that became family. When Johnny loved you he celebrated your joys and felt your pains. He cried often, both for your happiness and also for your sorrows.

He was strong, loving, protective and lets not forget hilarious. If you knew Johnny, you knew to never expect his humor. He was so funny and often inappropriate in his jokes. He was so quick with a comeback and always made you laugh. Laughter was a constant in our home. Johnny was very musical, he played the mandolin and always had the perfect soundtrack playing for any situation.

Please remember him with the love and fun he brought into your lives.

To honor Jonnys laid back spirit attendees are encouraged to wear casual clothing instead of formal attire,( no suits and ties) We want to celebrate his wonderful life the way he would want it.

In lieu of flowers please make a donation to The Branches in Rio Grande or your local food bank in his honor.
