It is with great sadness the family of Richard J. Latham, 55, announces his passing after his courageous battle with cancer.


Richard was born February 23, 1970 in Philadelphia PA to Violet (Hunter) Latham and the late Victor Latham. Growing up he had a love of sports especially the Philadelphia Eagles. His love of sports would eventually lead him to assisting with coaching of his daughter’s youth sports teams.


After graduating from Millville High School, Millville NJ, in 1988, he attended the United States AirForce and later accepted a position as a correction’s officer at Bayside State Prison where he was employed for 20 years.


A hardworking and strong individual, he was always ready to lend a hand to anyone in need. He enjoyed spending time in the garage working on muscle cars and fixing old vehicles with his cousin Rick Weber.


Richard loved and adored his daughter Dylan, sister Charlene and his mother Violet.


In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents John and Viola Hunter; aunts Constance Little, Dororthy Panas and Kathy Latham.


Richard is survived by his mother Violet; daughter Dylan; grand daughter Rylee; sisters Charlene Latham and Victoria Nelson; aunt Gloria Donnely, whom of which he loved with all his heart; cousins Dorothy Solenski, William Panas, Donna Little, Robert Horwath, James Howath, Gloria Joan Bowles, Sean Miller, Rick Grillo, Amanda Bowles Irwin; and many dear friends.


Funeral Services and interment will be private and at the convenience of the family.
