James J. Crowther Obituary

James J. Crowther, 82, of North Cape May, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on November 10, 2025, surrounded by his loving family after a courageous battle with Parkinson’s disease.

Born on September 20, 1943, in Gloucester, NJ, Jim lived a full and joyful life built on family, faith, hard work, and a deep love for his Philadelphia Sports, especially the Eagles. On his 26th birthday, he married the love of his life, Ilana, beginning a partnership that spanned more than five decades and filled their lives with laughter, devotion, and countless memories.

Jim was a proud and dedicated worker who continued his career until his 70’s. His work ethic, kindness, and steady nature earned the respect of everyone who knew him.

He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. Jim is survived by his beloved wife, Ilana; his sons William (Bill) and wife Denise with their granddaughter Emily. Albert and his son Finn. James and wife Allison with their daughter Abigail. He adored his family and found his greatest joy in spending time with them.

Jim’s passion for the Philadelphia Sports was legendary in the Crowther household. He and his sons shared a lifelong bond over the teams - and a shared, spirited dislike for the Dallas Cowboys. When the Eagles finally won their first Super Bowl, Bill was at the game and called his dad from the stands - a moment they would both treasure forever. Jim later joined his family, including Bill, Denise, Albert, Jimmy and Abbie at the unforgettable Eagles Super Bowl parade, celebrating together as lifelong fans.

Jim’s laughter, warmth, and loyalty will be remembered by all who knew him. His legacy of love and strength will continue through his family and the many lives he touched.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects 10AM Tuesday, November 25, 2025, at the Parish of St. John Neumann Church of St. John of God, 680 Townbank Road, North Cape May, NJ.
