Donald G. McDaniels 89, of Cape May, N. J., passed away peacefully on October 28, 2025 at home surrounded by family. He was born in Pennsville, N.J., spending his summers in Port Norris as a child. He was a lifelong resident of Cape May, spending his winters in Big Pine Key, Fl.
Don was an oysterman and clammer. He owned and operated the C.M. Riggin, New Sea Rover, Oceanview, Rachel R., Clyde Phillips (A.J. Meerwald), and Yankee. In his free time, you could catch him fishing. He loved his family, friends, and Fox News.
Don was a loving father to Carol Veale (Pete Dixon), Charlotte Holman (David), Deanna Taylor (Scott), Rosalie Douglass, 12 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, brothers-in-law Richard and James Dahlen, and to numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife Rosalie, daughter Donna Stevens, granddaughter Alaina Taylor, and son-in-law Lee Veale.
Graveside services will be held at 1PM Tuesday, November 4, 2025, at Cold Springs Cemetery Cape May, NJ.
