Margaret E. (Peg) Comerford, 84, Bushnell Fl, entered into eternal rest Sunday, October 12th at her grandson’s home in Oceanview NJ.

Born February 11, 1941, in Delran NJ, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Ella (Torbert) Plumley. 

Peg settled with her sons in Rio Grande, NJ along with her husband Frank Comerford.  Peg was a true boy mom to her four sons Nevan, Louis, Scott, and Frank III.  She had a nurturing side but knew when tough love was needed.  She was known not to take any nonsense, yet also provided them with love and guidance.  

She found her peace within recent years after becoming baptized and receiving the Lord as her Savior at First Baptist Church of Bushnell.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband the late Frank Comerford, Sr.; and sons Scott Andrew Long (2015), Frank Theodore Comerford II (2019) and Nevan Ned Long, Jr. (2024); and siblings Pidge Thiel and Joan Whitman.

Peg will forever be missed by her son Lou Long (wife Chris); grandchildren Jessica Ginyard, Ryan Long (wife Megan), Frank Comerford III (wife Dana), Alex Comerford (wife  Jordon)  and Fashia Comerford; 10 great grandchildren; sister Carol Valentine; brother Frank Plumley; her forever daughters-in-law Rita Rich (husband Joseph), and Pam Comerford; several nieces and nephews; and her best friend and faithful fur baby Ginger. 

Peg will also be missed by her neighbor and friend Jackie Thayer.  The family expresses their sincerest gratitude to Jackie who helped care for Peg over the last couple of years.

She will be forever 21 in our hearts.

Funeral Services and interment will be private and at the convenience of the family.
