Obituary of Patricia Marie McCabe

Patricia Marie (Jest) McCabe, a long time resident of North Wildwood, NJ passed peacefully at home at the age of 68 on October 12, 2025 after a courageous battle with cancer. 

Patti was born on May 12,1957 to Joseph and Patricia Jest and resided in Aldan, PA. While visiting the Wildwoods, she met her husband Tom and they married on October 14, 1978. They raised four children together and opened their home to many others over the years. 

Patti is survived by her husband of 47 years, Thomas McCabe Sr; their children Tommy Jr., Randi, Nikki, and Matthew; their grandchildren Ty and Layla who brought her the most joy; her mother Patricia Jest; her brother Joseph Jest (Kathleen); her newest and beloved pup Bruno, as well as a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. She is predeceased by her father, Joseph Jest, brothers Michael, Timothy and David and grandmother Helen.

Patti loved all animals and cared deeply for her family and friends. She donated to numerous charities and organizations benefiting human aid and animal care. She is missed by all who knew her. 

Visitation is scheduled for 9:30AM with a Mass to follow at 10:30AM on Monday, October 20, 2025 at Notre Dame De La Mer Parish St. Ann Church, 2901 Atlantic Avenue, Wildwood, NJ. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory of Patricia McCabe to the Love of Linda Cancer Fund at www.loveoflinda.org.
