It is with heavy hearts and deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Christian Snyder, a beloved son, brother, grandson and friend, who tragically left us on August 30, 2025 at the age of 20.
Christian was born on September 1, 2004 and grew up in Lower Township. A bright and compassionate soul, he brought joy to everyone he encountered with his infectious smile, kind nature, and sense of humor. Christian enjoyed reading, gaming, working out, and listening to all kinds of music. He had a passion for traveling, playing guitar and most recently, motorcycles. He treasured his friendships and he touched the lives of so many people during his short time with us. Christian graduated from LCMRHS in June, 2022. In September, 2023, he enlisted in the US Navy. He graduated boot camp in Great Lakes in December 2023 and went on to school in Pensacola to study CTT where he graduated in February of this year. From Pensacola, his orders took him to Norfolk, VA. and his new home became the USS McFaul. His family will be forever proud of his accomplishments.
Christian is survived by his parents, Mia and Robert Snyder, his siblings Jayden, Parker, Kenley and Kinsley, his grandparents John & Lisa Snyder, Jill & Shawn Evans and Terry Boothe. He is predeceased by his grandfather Raeford Ellison. Christian is also survived by numerous extended family, friends, and loved ones who will forever cherish the time they spent with him.
A memorial service to celebrate Christian’s life will be held on Sunday, October 12th at the Cape May-Lewes Ferry, 1200 Lincoln Blvd., North Cape May, NJ, from 1 pm – 4 pm with a military flag ceremony at 2pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Red Cross, PO Box 37839, Boone, IA 50037 0839.
While his time on Earth was brief, the impact he made in the hearts of those that knew him will last forever. Christian will always be remembered with love, and his memory will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Rest in peace Christian Snyder. You will be deeply missed, but never forgotten.
