Maria Elaina Heintz, age 79, passed away peacefully in the early hours of Saturday, August 30, 2025, with her daughter, Theresa Koch (Tasch), by her side in Cape May Court House, NJ.

Born on June 11th,1946, in Philadelphia, PA, Maria was the wife of the late Michael Heintz and the daughter of the late James and Doris Tasch. Maria will best be remembered for always opening her house, whether it was when she lived in PA or NJ, to anyone and everyone who wanted to be there. She always made sure everyone had a good time and was very entertained. She was happiest spending time with her family and friends.

Maria and her husband moved to Reno, Nevada, for a while. She later moved back to NJ, saying the beach was calling her and that’s where she wanted to be.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Michael, and her sons, Dennis Barndt and Robert (Robbie) Baldoni, Jr, in addition to her sisters Ealine Caudill and Carol Schroeder, and brother Frank Tasch. Maria is survived by her daughters, Theresa Koch (Tasch) of NJ and Tammy Tubiello of Sparks NV, as well as two brothers, Robert and James Tasch. She has 10 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.

Maria loved spending time with her grandchildren, whether it was babysitting them for a few hours or for the whole summer, taking them to the beach and boardwalk. She always made sure they were well fed and had plenty of crafts and fun activities to keep them busy. They loved watching Little House on the Prairie together. She had many hobbies, and loved to read, craft, and cook.

Theresa and Tammy wish to extend their sincere gratitude to all the Nurses and Home Care Hospice Workers who cared for Maria and helped Theresa see that Maria was well cared for and comfortable during her time in hospice.
