It is with great sadness the family of Mark Raymond Forbes announces his passing on July 23, 2025.
Born July 23, 1962, in Cape May Court House. He was the son of the late Raymond R. and Beth Ann (Davies) Forbes. He was a graduate of Lower Cape May Regional High School. For many years he worked at the former Sears Department Store in North Cape May up until the store closed.
Mark had an eye for photography and was known for capturing the beauty in the sunsets along the coast of Cape May and North Cape May. Many of his photographs were published on the Cool Cape May Facebook page. He also enjoyed traveling to Vermont seeing the snowcapped mountains and his daily breakfast at Uncle Bill’s Pancake House.
He was a selfless person, always giving his time to caring for his brother Guy and his mother Beth Ann until her passing in 2022. He was a playful uncle who always cracked jokes and enjoyed teasing his nephews Oliver and Lucas and niece Siena.
Mark’s passing will leave a void in the hearts of many, but no one will miss him more than his brothers Guy and Scott, sister-in-law and niece and nephews.
Graveside services will be held 11AM Friday, August 1 at Cold Spring Cemetery 780 Seashore Road North Cape May. Evoy Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.
“Sunsets are proof that there is beauty even after the darkest of days.”
