Sharon V. Popper, aged 67, of North Cape May, passed away with family by her side on Wednesday July 16th, 2025. Sharon was born on May 29th, 1958, in Hazelton, PA. She was the daughter of late Ronald and Marilyn (Davies) Dean.

Sharon graduated from Mechanicsburg Area High School, Class of 1976. She was a Shippensburg University graduate of 1980 and a dedicated enthusiastic teacher at Woodbine Elementary School for 35 years. Sharon retired in 2014. You could also find her behind the Customer Service desk at Acme where she worked part time in North Cape May.

Sharon married her husband Steven Popper in 1986. When Sharon was not working you could find her out with friends, at the beach, cheering on her beloved Pittsburgh Steelers, watching her favorite soap operas, or chasing a sunset.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her loving daughter Robyn Popper of Woodstown, NJ, Mother-in-law Rita Zumoff (Howard) of Wyncote, PA, and brother Kenneth Dean (Penny) of Carlisle, PA. Sister-in-law Adele Blank (Elliot) of Rancho Mirage, CA.

Sharon was preceded in death by her parents.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects Wednesday, August 20th from 1-2PM with a Celebration of Life to follow at 2PM at Evoy Funeral Homes, Inc., PO Box 1010, 3218 Bayshore Road North, Cape May, NJ 08204.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Cape May Cares. The 501© (3) non-profit organization is dedicated to residents of the Cape May Housing Authority and the underserved in Cape May County.
