Tracey Angela Marks (Young) Obituary

It is with profound sadness and deep love that we announce the passing of Tracy Angela Marks (Young), 55 years young, beloved mother, daughter, and sister, on July 9, 2025. Tracy was born on June 15, 1970, in Baltimore, MD. As a young girl, her family moved to Dundalk, MD, where she attended Sandy Plains Elementary, General John Stricker, and Patapsco High School. It had always been her dream to live near the ocean, so in 2005, she moved her family to Wildwood, NJ, where she earned her GED in 2007. In the early 1990’s she was a DJ for a short time at a local Baltimore radio station, 97 Underground, and was known as “Angel Tracer”. She also inherited the talent for art from her father; she could create beautiful landscapes and images of any kind.

As a teenager, her favorite singers were KISS and Van Halen. In more recent years, she enjoyed Rock and Alternative Music, a love she shared with her daughter. And Elvis was always a favorite. To her many friends, she was affectionately known as Momma T; she would give you the shirt off her back if you were in need. Tracy would go out of her way to help anyone, even if she wasn’t doing well herself. Each day, she enjoyed sitting on her steps and feeding the seagulls who would visit her to get treats! She enjoyed watching the Baltimore Orioles and the Baltimore Ravens.

Tracy is pre-deceased by her mother, Carolyn Jane Young (1993), and sister, Robin Carole Young (2009). She is survived by her son, Alex B. Young of CA, her daughter, Erin N. Miller of NJ, and her friend, Kent Schellinger, as well as her Father, John R. Young, Sr. of Middle River, MD. Sister Susan Hayes and her husband Bill from Middle River, MD, brother John R Young, II, and wife Joanna of Nottingham, MD., and brother Barry Young, of TX. She is also survived by her cherished grandson, Dominic McCormick of NJ, and her beloved companion Anastasia (Stasia), her chihuahua, along with a wide circle of other family and friends.

We will miss her gravelly voice, boisterous but contagious laugh, and her beautiful smile.
