Joann Marie (Fidler) Newkirk, 89, of North Cape May passed away on July 10, 2025. She was born on February 3, 1936, in Pottsville, PA and moved to Cape May County as a child, were she eventually met the love of her life and raised their 6 children.

Joann, worked at G.C.Murphy's in Wildwood, NJ., where she met our dad. She took a break from working retail to raise 6 children and eventually returning to Murphy's until the store closed in the 90's. Then worked for Dellas’s in Cape May until she retired in 2012. She loved traveling to Disney and traveling in general. She loved baking, knitting and sewing. But most of all she loved being around people.

She is predeceased by her husband of 47 years on this earth, parents; Francis Fidler and Florence Yearicks (Francis), stepfather; Floyd Yearicks; brother Frank (Fran) Fidler, sister: (Mickey) Florence (Ronald) Parker and granddaughter Taylor Newkirk-McBride.

She is survived by her 6 children: Martin (Karen) Newkirk Jr. of Davidsonville MD., Nancy Bea (Terry) Frankenfield, Sandra (Edward) Snyder Sr., Karen Kay(Scott) Kirschner, Joann A Newkirk, and Robert AKA";Bobby"Newkirk all from Lower Township., she will be deeply missed by her Grandchildren; Martin (Kimberly) Newkirk III, Drew (Christine) Newkirk, Austin Newkirk, Michelle (Dave) Hunt, Michael Frankenfield, Edward Snyder, Elizabeth Snyder, Samantha (Christopher) Conover, Jeffrey (Kristen) Johnson Jr., Danielle Kirschner, Sarah Kirschner, Daniel (Megan) Newkirk and Joshua (Katie-Jo) Newkirk; 21 Great Grandchildren; 7 Great-Great Grandchildren as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

A funeral service will be held 11 am on Thursday July 17, 2025 at the Evoy Funeral Home, 3218 Bayshore Road, North Cape May, NJ where a visitation will be held from 10-11am. Burial will follow services at the Cold Spring Cemetery.
