Kathleen Mary Larkin (nee Malloy), age 78, of Rio Grande, died peacefully Wednesday, June 4, 2025 with family at her bedside. Born to Martin and Catherine Malloy in Philadelphia, Kathleen graduated from West Catholic High School and worked at Bell telephone. On a summer trip to Wildwood, she met her beloved husband, Joseph "Jay" Larkin, at the Shamrock. They were married for 48-years before Jay's passing. Kathleen has continued ownership and operation of Larkin's Restaurant into its 75th year. She was predeceased by her husband, sister Jacqueline Boyle, and brother Martin Malloy. She is survived by her loving son Joseph (Jay) Jr and his wife Dawn, their daughter Colleen and her husband Lee Green; grandchildren Alyssa, Amanda, Erin, Leo and Jackson; great grandsons, Michael and Braydon; her sister Susanne Evans; and other family. A Mass of Christian burial will be offered 11AM Wednesday, June 11th at the Parish of St. John Neumann Church of St. Raymond's 800 Bayshore Road Villas NJ. Friends will be received at the Church from 10:00am -10:50am. Internment of both Kathleen and her husband Joseph is following at Cold Spring Cemetary.
