Norman Earl Watson, age 84 of Rio Grande passed away on Monday May 19, 2025 at the Cooper University Hospital @Cape Regional in Cape May Court House. Norman was born and raised in Wildwood and graduated from Wildwood High School. He resided in Lower Twp for many years and for the past twenty years resided in Rio Grande. Norman was a self-employed carpet installer. He served in the US Army during the Vietnam War (1963-1965). In his younger years he enjoyed playing pool. He enjoyed fishing, building things, gardening, watching the Philadelphia Eagles, spending time with his grandchildren and especially decorating for Christmas.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years Christine Watson; children, Jessica (Joseph) Williams, Jennifer (Bob Curnell) Allen; grandchildren, Joseph (Kasey) Williams, Joshua (Ashleigh) Williams, Jacob (Donna) Allen, Olivia Allen; great-grandchildren, Trey, Aria, Bryn, Edan, Veronica and Mavis. He also leaves many nieces and nephews. Norman was preceded in death by his parents Ralph and Helen Watson, son Norman E. Watson Jr., siblings Ralph, Irving and Cathy.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday May 29, 2025 at the Evoy Funeral Home, 3218 Bayshore Road, North Cape May, NJ where relatives and friends will be received from 10 to 11 am. Following services committal services and military honors will be held at the Cape May Co. Veterans Cemetery, Cape May Court House.
