Gail Patricia Hartnett, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and aunt passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 14, 2025, in Cape May County.
A longtime resident of Philadelphia, Gail was known for her warmth, wit, and deep love for her family. She found joy in simple pleasures — making memories, spending time at the beach, and, most of all, being surrounded by her loved ones.
Gail is survived by her devoted husband, John, and their three children: Melissa (Donald), John (Cristina), and Kelly. She was a proud grandmother to Miranda, Michael, Melody, Jenna, Joseph, John, Alaina, and Daniel, and a cherished great-grandmother to Dylan, Blake, Oliver, Charles, and Marceline. Her legacy lives on in each of them.
Everyone who knew Gail knows that she was a character. She was a one woman show. She left us with so many funny memories. She was always doing crazy, wild things. Then she would tell the grandkids … we are making memories. But, the greatest thing she left us with was a strong family bond. Gail loved her family unconditionally and always put her family first. "Mom, you are so loved. We will forever carry you in our hearts."
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects Tuesday, May 20th from 1-2PM at Evoy Funeral Home 3218 Bayshore Road North Cape May, NJ 08204.
