Obituary of Gail Hartnett

Gail Patricia Hartnett, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and aunt passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 14, 2025, in Cape May County. A longtime resident of Philadelphia, Gail was known for her warmth, wit, and deep love for her family. She found joy in simple pleasures — making memories, spending time at the beach, and, most of all, being surrounded by her loved ones. Gail is survived by her devoted husband, John, and their three children: Melissa (Donald), John (Cristina), and Kelly. She was a proud grandmother to Miranda, Michael, Melody, Jenna, Joseph, John, Alaina, and Daniel, and a cherished great-grandmother to Dylan, Blake, Oliver, Charles, and Marceline. Her legacy lives on in each of them. Everyone who knew Gail knows that she was a character. She was a one woman show. She left us with so many funny memories. She was always doing crazy, wild things. Then she would tell the grandkids … we are making memories. But, the greatest thing she left us with was a strong family bond. Gail loved her family unconditionally and always put her family first. "Mom, you are so loved. We will forever carry you in our hearts."
