Phyllis Edith Ort, 93, of Buffalo, NY, passed away on April 1, 2025 in North Cape May, NJ. A memorial service will be held at Tabernacle United Methodist Church, 702 Seashore Rd., Cape May, NJ, on Monday, April 7, 2025, with visitation at 10am and service at 11am. Phyllis was born in Buffalo, NY, to parents Herbert and Edith Belcher. In 1950 she married William C. Ort, and they remained married until his death in 2017. She was a devoted homemaker and an excellent cook and baker, for which her family was exceedingly grateful. She exuded love in all she did and had a gift for hospitality. Phyllis is predeceased by her husband William C. Ort, sister Jane Widlicka, and great-grandson Love Borjesson. She is survived by her daughter Deb Ort, daughter Darlene Axelsson (Lars), and son Bill Ort (Lee), along with her grandchildren (Lisa/Craig, Annika/Guy, Stefan/Melissa, Erika/Petter, David/Kalin, Lukas, and Kajsa/Tyler) and great-grandchildren (Lina, Maika, Maddie, Kirsten, Seth, Egon, Everett, Elliott, Calvin).
