Obituary of Denise Fessler

Denise C. Fessler (Greger), 64, of Villas, NJ passed away peacefully on Wednesday March 19, 2025 with family by her side. Denise was born on February 1, 1961 in Philadelphia, PA. Denise had been a resident of Villas NJ for the past 48 years, where she and her husband David raised their beloved family. Denise spent over 30 years of her life passionately dedicating her care to adults with special needs. The love she shared with the people in her care was evident by their smiles and laughter. Denise also worked for over 20 years in the candy business, where she would dedicate numerous extra hours just to ensure every last piece of chocolate was laid perfectly. Denise was also a talented crafter, gardener, and cook, and her home was always filled with projects and comfortable aromas of her latest meal. Some of Denise's other joys included fishing, crabbing, watching the Phillies and the Eagles, attending concerts, and going on cruises and camping trips. She always wanted everyone to have a memorable time. Denise's biggest love was her family, and her love had no limits. Denise spent much of her time supporting her children and grandchildren throughout. Over the years, she would spend hours on the road, on the pool deck, and on the bleachers. It was never a question of who was the biggest fan as she would never fail to make it known. Denise loved all of her family unconditionally and selflessly. She lovingly shared holidays, meals, game nights, and other traditions with her family. Her home and her heart were open, and a source of comfort for so many for so long. Denise is preceded in death by her husband David Fessler; father and mother-in-law, Jack and Margaret Fessler (Vesper); and her daughter-in-law Brooke Fessler (Paynter). Denise is survived by her parents George and Beverly Greger (Manners); brothers Michael Greger, Eric (Kathy) Greger, and Richard (Stacey) Greger; sister Caroline (Ibraham) Moustafa; children David Fessler, Robert Fessler, and Lori (Chris) Volpe, grandchildren Dominick, Gavin, Gabrielle, Robert, Asher, Evan, Ian, and Serenity, and many cherished nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews. Funeral Services will be held Thursday, March 27 at 2PM at Evoy Funeral Home 3218 Bayshore Road North Cape May NJ. Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects from 1PM until the time of service. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family. The family would prefer donations be made to the South Jersey Regional Animal Shelter 1244 North Delsea Drive Vineland NJ 08360.
