Obituary of James G. McCann

James G. McCann, age 72 of Del Haven, NJ passed away on Tuesday, March 4, 2025 at Cooper hospital in Cape May Court House, NJ. He was born in Philadelphia, PA, has resided in the area the past 22 years and had previously lived in Northeast Philadelphia. James was a graduate of Father Judge High School where he played varsity football. James helped operate his family's business, McCann's Sun Valley Tavern, in Northeast Phila. He last worked for Cape May- Lewes Ferry as Kitchen Supervisor. James was an avid fisherman, hunter and also enjoyed traveling in the mountains of Silly Valley, Pennsylvania. James is survived by his two sons; Kevin and Sean McCann, his wife and mother of his sons; Marian McCann and his grandchild; Ethan Penrod McCann. James had five siblings; Patty Weigold, Joan Eastwood (deceased), Mary Jane "MJ" Di Antonio, Dennis McCann and Eileen Buzas. Family and friends are invited to pay their respects Saturday, March 15th from 9-10AM A Memorial service will be held 10AM March 15th at Evoy Funeral Homes, Inc., PO Box 1010, 3218 Bayshore Road North, Cape May, NJ 08204.
