David (Dave) Uhland, 68, passed away peacefully at home in the Villas, NJ, on Sunday, March 2nd, 2025, due to the complications of a chronic illness. He was considerate, generous, and will be missed by all who knew him. He retired from his position as Chief Inspector, Federal Aviation Administration, Pomona, NJ, in 2013. Originally from the Cherry Hill, NJ area, he attended Spartan College of Aeronautics and Technology in Tulsa. After graduating, he began working for Southern Jersey Airways, a commuter airline at Cape May County Airport. Dave served as Governor, Lower Township Moose Lodge 1054, Erma, NJ, and was a Master Mason at the Masonic Lodge of Beach Haven. One of Dave's favorite activities was riding his Harley Davidson and taking road trips with friends. He enjoyed traveling within the US, Canada, Mexico, and Europe. He was also a pilot and owned a single-engine aircraft. Dave is survived by his loving wife, Deborah Waters, son Jason, brother Joseph (Paula), sisters Jane Cudnik (Stan) and Helene Koseff, many nieces and nephews, and is predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Helene (nee Wilcome), and his brothers Mark and Robert (Teresa). Burial services will be private. A Celebration of Life will be planned at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital at stjude.org
