I'm so thankful for Sigrid's kindness and generosity. From helping me to move into a temporary apartment for my internship in New York, borrowing a mattress and fan. Introducing me to the music of Sergio Mendes and Brasil '66 - listening to their version of "The Look of Love" or "Mais Que Nada" will forever make me smile. I also curse the many hours playing Tetris and it haunting my dreams, but I loved that someone in my parent's generation had a Nintendo games console. I still have the pearl earrings Sigrid gave me on my first visit. And I enjoyed being her navigator round Jersey, Pennsylvania and New York and "NO PENNIES" when approaching a toll!
