I remember Larry with great fondness at First Assembly of God where he served as head usher and volunteered in many other areas of the church especially those areas that served others . My favorite memory of him was when he came into the church office looking for his hearing aid. I wasn’t the church secretary there yet but was visiting the person who was. We kept hearing a beep which Larry could not hear. While we went around the office and down the hall to the kitchen looking for the hearing aid; the beep seemed to follow Larry. Finally the secretary laughingly said to Larry; I am going to frisk you. The hearing aid was in his pocket and in need of a new battery. Michael and I give our condolences to Jerri, and his whole family. He was a wonderful man.

Thank God for Larry and his influence on my life. Larry and Jerri were both enthusiastic encouragers. Larry always had a smile and always had a word of encouragement. As a teenager at Tabernacle I looked up to Larry. Jerri and Larry were both “team upbeat.” May God surround the hearts and minds of his family with His peace and comfort.

Larry made the most delicious corn pudding I had ever had in my life. I still attempt to make it every year for my family. Never comes out as good as his! Loved his smile and his pranks. Someday we will meet up, Frank and Juanita Magrans

I love this picture of Larry...it shows the joy God gave him in life. I worked with him as an usher in our church for several years, and he was always happy and caring. Surely he will be missed by Jerry and his family...my prayers are with you as you go through this hard time. R.I.P. my friend, in God's great army now.
