Rita Matteo, age 90 of Cape May, NJ passed away at her home with her family by her side on Thursday February 6, 2025. Rita was born in Philadelphia and was formerly of South Philadelphia and has resided in Cape May the past 20 years. She was preceded in death by her husband Vincent Matteo, son John (Michele) Matteo, siblings Fred DiGiovanni and Ann Marie Lucia. She is survived by her son Anthony (Laverne) Matteo and Vincent (Julie) Matteo. Rita also leaves numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren and four great-great- grandchildren, Brian, Bryce, Julia and Jackson.

A funeral service will be held 11:00am on Friday, February 14, 2025 at the Evoy Funeral Home, 3218 Bayshore Road, North Cape May, NJ where relatives and friends will be received from 10 to 11 am., Burial will be at the St. Peter and Paul Cemetery in Marple Twp. PA. (Relatives and friends will meet at the cemetery at 1:45pm)
