Margaret "Peg" Lipsett (nee McMenamin) passed away on February 2nd, 2025, at the age of 87 surrounded by her loving family. Peg loved making people laugh everywhere she went with her quick Irish wit and hospitality. She was born and raised in Philadelphia and was a proud graduate of J.W. Hallahan High School. After graduation, Peg served in the Naval Reserves alongside her best friend Rita from 1955 to 1959. Peg married the love of her life on January 16, 1965. They met at the Klein Club fancy brigade where Jack was a member and was a lifelong fan of the Mummers and Fralinger String Band. Together they raised their three children in Saint Williams Parish in the Lawndale section of Philadelphia. Peg and Jack retired to North Cape May in 2000 staying active in the church and community. Peg was a Eucharistic Minister and a member of the Altar and Rosary Society. She was an active member of the Cape May Seniors serving as president for several years. Peg was also an active member of the Ladies A.O.H. participating in Irish dancing. Loving mother of three children, including Colleen Grau (Steven), Kathleen Lutz (Edward), and John (Sara). Caring grandmother to eight grandchildren: Steven (Shannon), Brittany, Kathleen, Maura, Christian, Ian, Ann, and Jane. Sister to the late Elizabeth Sweeney and the late Charles McMenamin. May she rest peacefully in the Kingdom of Heaven. A visitation will be held from 10:00 to 10:45 am on Saturday February 15, 2025, at St. John Neumann Parish/ St. John of God Church, 680 Town Bank Road, North Cape May, NJ and will be followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am. Committal services and Entombment will follow the Mass at St. Mary's Cemetery in Cold Spring, NJ. In lieu of flowers, please donate to The St. Vincent de Paul Society or Saint Jude Research Hospital.
