Philip John Russo Obituary

Philip John Russo, 87, of Villas, NJ passed away on January 13th, 2025 surrounded by loving family. Phil was born in South Philly on November 5, 1937 to Amerigo and Anna Russo. He joined the Marine Corp in 1957 and served for 2 years. During this time, he met his sweetheart, Kathleen Little. They married on October 24th, 1959. This past October they celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary.


The three loves of his life were his wife Kathleen, and his two children Philip and Kathleen. He enjoyed taking his family on yearly vacations, especially to Florida. His love of fishing, the shore, and spending time with family was passed down to his three grandchildren, Karlie, Kasey, and Kendall, whom he adored. His grandchildren, nieces and nephews have many cherished memories hearing Phil recount stories from his glory days.


Phil was survived by his beloved wife Kathleen, daughter Kathleen and son-in-law Matt, and preceded in death by his son Philip, and sisters MaryAnn and Franny. He is also survived by granddaughters Karlie, Kasey, and Kendall, his brother Raymond, and many nieces and nephews.


A memorial visitation will be held from 10 to 11am at St John Neumann/ Parish/ St. John of God Church, 680 Townbank Road, North Cape May, NJ. The visitation will be followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at the church.at 11:00 AM
