It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of a beloved son, brother, and friend, Frederick Julious Schartner IV, who died on February 28, 2023 at the age of 34 due to complications from type one diabetes. Fred was born on August 11, 1988 and was diagnosed with type one diabetes at the age of 2. Despite the challenges of managing the condition, he lived life to the fullest, pursuing his passions throughout his 34 years. Fred was a devoted son, brother, and uncle. He was a kind friend to many and was always there to lend a listening ear or offer a helping hand. His unique outlook on life and infectious laughter will be dearly missed by all who knew him. In addition to his dedication to his loved ones, Freddie loved motorcycles, dirt bikes, and all things mechanical. He was especially proud of the award he won in the Atlantic City bike show. He enjoyed riding bikes with his friends that were more like brothers. He was a tattoo enthusiast and had many which all of had a meaningful story. He was loved by his friends and family, who recognized his kind heart, love of children and animals. Fred's life was cut short due to the complications of type one diabetes. It is a reminder of the urgent need for continued research and innovation in the treatment of this disease. In his passing he will continue to be honored by being an organ donor and saving the lives of many children and giving the ultimate gift of life. His memory will live on in the hearts of those recipients as well as those who knew and loved him. His legacy will inspire others to live life with the same passion, kindness that he exemplified. Services will be held on Saturday March 11, 2023 at Evoy Funeral Home, 3218 Bayshore Rd., North Cape May, NJ at 11:00am. Family and friends may visit from 10-11am prior to the service.
