John McDonald, age 69, of Cape May Court House died on Sunday at his sister-in-laws home. Born in Phila., Pa., he was an area resident here for over 30 years. He was an employee of Cape May County Correctional Facility for 25 years and for Crest Haven Nursing Home for three years, retiring in 2003. He was a member of St. Raymonds Church, Kairos Prison Ministry, Cursillo Community, Credo Ministry and was a friend of Bill W. for 30 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene and Laura; a sister, Lorraine Connor and a brother, Leonard. Surviving are his beloved wife of 19 years, Gladys; his twin brother, Larry of Folcroft, Pa., a sister, Jean Rullo of Folcroft, Pa.; brothers-in-law Stephen (Gloria), Paul (Donna), James (Diana) and Jude (Linda) Hoffman and a sister-in-law Mary LaBar (Harriet Bennett) and his dog, Snicker Doodle McDonald. A memorial service will be held at St. Raymonds Church, Bayshore & Ocean Ave., Villas, NJ on Saturday, Feb. 16th, at 11:00 am, where friends may call from 10:00 am. Burial will be private.
