Obituary of Robert H. Bebee

BEBEE, ROBERT, - 87, of Villas, passed away peacefully in his home on February 22, 2018. He was born in Bridgeport, Ohio, raised in Warwood, WV and served in the USCG (1948-1951) aboard the USCG 'Sassafras'. His basic training was in Cape May NJ where he met and married Lillian H. Cotton in 1950. The family moved to Pittsburgh where Bob worked for ten years @United Steelworkers of America until the plant closed in 1961. He then moved the family to Wildwood, NJ where he worked twenty-five years for the City of Wildwood Water Department (1963-1988) retiring as Water Superintendent. Bob also worked ten years @ Seapointe Village as a security officer greeting summer residents and tourists. Ancestry and family were very important to 'Poppa Bee', the name he was affectionately called in later years. He is predeceased by his wife, Lillian and his son, Robert. He is survived by son Ralph Dills (Betty) of North Carolina, daughters Barbara Antonelli (Tony) of North Wildwood, Kathy Bebee (Pat) of Villas, Helen Bebee-Bass (John) of Cape May, Patty Bebee-Wilson (Scott) of Philadelphia, grandchildren Mickey Morey Kiernan (Mark), Ryan Morey (Coleen), David Dills (Sally), Jason Dills, Anthony, Michael & Jeana Antonelli, Wylie Rose Wilson and great grandchildren Nathanial, Spencer, Ethan, Calvin, Lennon, Luke and Alyssa. There will be a memorial service on Saturday, March 3rd at 2pm @ Evoy Funeral Home, 3218 Bayshore Rd., N. Cape May where friends can call from 1-2pm. Funeral will follow @Cold Spring Cemetery.
