Miriam Lavinia Obermeier, age 88, of North Cape May passed away Monday, September 18, 2017. Miriam was born in Philadelphia, PA, she moved to Townbank in 1964, where along with her husband, Bob, they started Town Bank Builders Inc. She was the backbone of the business until she retired in 1991. Miriam was also the long-time hostess at the Mariner's Inn. Spending winters in Florida and summers in Cape May, Bob & Miriam always found a place to country dance. She especially loved her family. Miriam was preceded in death by her husband Bob who she dearly missed; her brothers: Roy, Harry, James, & Robert; and her sisters: Lillian & Mildred. Miriam is survived by her sisters: Shirley & Irene; her sons: Robert & daughter-in-law Denise (Franklin), Gary & daughter-in-law Carol (Boyer), Scott & daughter-in-law Melissa (Miley), and her grandchildren: Robert C Obermeier 2nd, Brandon J Obermeier, Lindsay C Obermeier, & Leah M Obermeier. There will be a memorial service from 10:00 to 11:00 AM on Tuesday, September 26, 2017 at the Evoy Funeral Home, 3218 Bayshore Rd, North Cape May, NJ 08204. The family would like to express their gratitude to Bernie & Holy Redeemer Hospice and to the staff at Victoria Manor with special thanks to Stephania & Jamie.
