Obituary for Magaret Rose Mullock Margaret Rose Mullock (Peggy) died early Sunday morning, August 20, 2017, surrounded by her loving family. She was 91 years old. Born in London, England, April 20, 1926, Peggy was the eldest of four children. She is pre-deceased by her parents, Frederick and Lily Clark and her two brothers, Victor and Anthony. Her sister Patricia survives her. She came of age during World War II in London, and she loved to tell stories of working on the double-decker buses as a ticket collector, known as a "clippie," and enjoyed meeting many of the soldiers from around the world who rode the buses. In London, she met and married her husband, Norman, an American Air Force pilot and navigator who went on to fly over 30 missions. Her parents' London home was damaged by a Nazi bomb which dropped her bedroom ceiling on top of her; she famously kept on napping. Norman and Peggy married in England in 1944, where their first-born son, Michael, was born. The young family returned to America, Peggy and infant Michael crossing the ocean with other war brides on the ocean liner Queen Mary, to rejoin her husband in America. Peggy and Norman first lived in Minersville, Pennsylvania, and then moved to Vera Cruz, Pennsylvania. They settled in Hartsville, Bucks County, Pennsylvania, in 1956. Norman died suddenly in 1969, and Peggy continued to raise her children in Hartsville, then lived on her own, remaining in the family home for 50 years. She relocated to North Cape May in 2007 and loved her new neighborhood and home, especially sitting by the bay watching the ferry come in, walking her dog and being close to many of her children who reside in Cape May. She spent her last year living with and being cared for by her youngest daughter, Jennifer Iwasevic. She was an avid gardener, animal lover, wicked scrabble player, crossword puzzle enthusiast and talented bowler, regularly rolling 200+ games well into her eighties. She was a gifted seamstress and avid reader, and could feed a full table without missing a beat. Peggy had nine children, seven sons and two daughters. Michael (married to Andi), Marilyn (married to Joe Murphy), Norman (married to Tasia), Bob (married to Linda), Stephen (married to Dawn), David (married to Linda), Paul, Daniel (married to Patti), and Jennifer, widow of Chip Iwasevic. She had twenty grandchildren and twenty-two great grandchildren, which include Norman and Maria Mullock and their children, Mitchell, Mathew and Ryan; Megan and David Rogers and their children, Ethan, Owen, and Ella; Justin Panneck and Adrienne Mullock and their daughter, Zuma; Meridith and Fred Mason and their children, Fred and Annabelle; Cynthia Mullock; Zachary and Justine Mullock and their children, Bobby and Tallulah; Dillon Mullock; Ellie Mullock; Mariah Mullock and her son, Finn; Mason and Katie Mullock and their son, Silas; Oliver Mullock, engaged to Sheila; Amy Mullock; Nicole Fleagle and her son, Shawnie; Jonathan Mullock; Paul Nathan Mullock; Lily Clark Mullock; Will Mullock; Amber Mullock and her children, Julius and Ophelia; Celeste Mullock Thompson and her daughter, Sunny Josephine; Roland Mullock; Dan and Rebecca Mulllock and their children, Ford and Alexa; and Leo and Courtney Iwasevic and their soon-to-be-welcomed baby. She is also survived by her dog, Jill, who we all realize is the "tenth child." Peggy was fun-loving and energetic, carried on as the Brit she was, and loved her family who were the center of her world. She was the center of ours and will be sorely missed. Arrangements are being made by Evoy Funeral Home, North Cape May, NJ. The service is private. In lieu of flowers you may contribute to: CMP Monarch Butterfly Project.
