Joseph David Schenk, age 47, of Wildwood passed away suddenly Thursday, July 20, 2017. Joseph was born March 2, 1970 in Denton, TX; lived in Colorado for 15 years; and has been a Cape May County resident since 1985. He is the son of Pastor David J. Schenk and Nancy (Knox) Flores. Joseph was a 1989 graduate of Ocean City High School and graduated from Cape May County Technical School in auto mechanics. He served his country in the US Army, worked as a casino cashier, a security guard, and a gas station attendant. Joseph enjoyed watching the NBA (especially the 76ers) and listening to his music. He was preceded in death by his Mom-Mom and Pop-Pop Herman and Virginia Schenk of Cherry Hill, NJ and his grandpa & grandma Cecil and Joan Knox of Lakewood, CO. Joseph is survived by his father Pastor David (Bea) Schenk, his mother Nancy (Manuel) Flores, his sister Tracy (Don) O'Connell, and his two step-brothers: Joseph Gehring of West Chester, PA and George Gehring of Brooklyn, NY. Also surviving are a nephew, several nieces, uncles, aunts, and cousins. Funeral services will be held at Calvary Chapel, Cape May, NJ 08204 on Tuesday, August 1, 2017 at 7:00 PM with visitation from 6:00 to 7:00 PM.
