Obituary of Paul T Gass

Paul T Gass, Jr., age 75, of Rio Grande passed away Tuesday, June 20, 2017 at his home. Paul was born in Philadelphia, PA; but has lived in the Cape May area since 1985. He is the son of the late Paul T Gass, Sr. and the late Evelyn (Strausbaugh) Gass. Paul served his country in the US Army Air Paratrooper Unit during the Vietnam War. He was a heavy equipment operator for the International Union of Operating Engineers in Philadelphia. Paul was a member of DAV #44 of Del Haven, the VFW Charles Buddy Lewis Post #5343 of Villas, The Masonic Lodge # 30 of Cape May, the Moose Lodge # 585 of Wildwood, the Elks Lodge # 1896 of North Wildwood, and was a life member of the Deborah Hospital Outreach. He was a 2 term Committeeman for the Cape May County Republican Organization. Paul is survived by his wife Judy, two daughters, and one son. Also surviving are his sisters, one brother and many grandchildren. Funeral services will be private.
