John R. Oney, age 56, of Cold Spring, NJ passed away Thursday, June 15, 2017. John was born in Illinois on June 23, 1960, the son of Norman and the late Ethel (Hamilton) Oney. He was married to Cathy Oney and they had a son Chris Oney married to Anna Oney. John had a sister Joleen Wynd residing in Illinois with her husband and two children. He had a large family here in New Jersey consisting of a mother-in-law, several brother & sisters-in-law, thirteen nieces and nephews, and one great nephew all of whom he loved dearly. John worked at the Lobster House for 30 years. A viewing will be held at Tabernacle UM Church, 702 Seashore Rd, Erma, NJ 08204 on Tuesday, June 20, 2017 from 12:00 to 3:00 PM.
