Henry Joseph "Rick" Marone, age 83, of North Cape May passed away Tuesday, April 18, 2017 at Cape Regional Medical Center. Rick was born May 11, 1933 in Philadelphia, PA; formerly lived in Vineland, NJ; and has been a Cape May area resident since 1980. He is the son of the late Vincenzo and the late Carmela (Patucci) Marone. Rick served in the U S Air Force during the Korean War. He was employed by Westinghouse, Philadelphia, PA as a Machinist. Rick was also a police officer in Vineland, NJ; was the former owner/operator of Munchies in North Wildwood; and worked for the ARC of Cape May. Rick was an accomplished country singer with several hits on the billboard charts, and he also performed at various venues in the Nashville and Philadelphia areas. He is survived by his wife: Linda M (McCoy) Marone, two daughters: Junita Wilson and Lisa Click & Paul Bruno, and one son: Vincent Marone. Also surviving are: three step sons: Samuel Simpkins, Josh Simpkins, & Jim Brown; two sisters: Ann Ianni and Rosemarie Ploucher; and a brother Albert Marone. He was preceded in death by his daughter Maria Marone in 1970, his brother Frank in 2016, and his granddaughter Dorothy Rose in 2005. Rick was affectionately known as "NoNo" to his eleven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. A graveside service will be held at 3:00 pm on Saturday, April 29 at Cape May County Veteran's Cemetery, 127 Crest Haven Rd, Cape May Court House, NJ 08210.
