Obituary of Louis R Iacono

Louis R Iacono, age 89, of North Cape May passed away Monday, January 16, 2017 at Victoria Manor. Louis was born June 7, 1927 in Wildwood, NJ and has been a life-long Cape May area resident. He is the son of the late Morris and the late Jennie (Forte) Iacono. Louis served his country in the US Marine Corps during World War II and served in the Army Reserves for a total of 21 years. He was an awarded Eagle Scout in 1947 with BSA Troop 47 South Jersey Council, served as a Past Commander, and was still a member today. Louis was preceded in death by his wife Betty J (Parkes) Iacono in 2013. He is survived by his children: Dale Iacono; Kevin (Mary) Iacono of Bluffton, SC; Debbie (Paul) Rotter of Jim Thorpe, PA; and Kathy (Chuck) Gibbons of Bluffton, SC. Also surviving are his brothers: Eugene & Romine Iacono; 9 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; and many nieces & nephews. There will be a funeral service at 11:00 AM on Monday, January 23, 2017 at the Evoy Funeral Home, 3218 Bayshore Rd, North Cape May, NJ 08204; where friends will be received from 10:00 to 11:00 AM.
