Joseph A. Turtzo, age 81, of Villas passed away peacefully Monday, January 2, 2017 at North Cape Center. Joseph was born May 15, 1935 in Philadelphia, PA; and has been a Cape May area resident since 1993. He is the son of the late Joseph Anthony and the late Mary Stillie (Duffield) Turtzo. Joseph was a Barber in his early years, a former tractor trailer operator for McDoanld's, and was the former owner of Jodi-Lee Canvas Company in Lower Township. He was a 4th Degree member of the Msgr. Moroney Council of the Knights of Columbus in Wildwood and also a member of the Stella Maris Council in Erma. Joseph also belonged to the Moose Lodge of Erma and the Elks Lodge in Villas. He was preceded in death by his step daughter Lisa Cavalier, his child David Turtzo and his grandson Jeffrey Turtzo. Joseph is survived by his wife of 34 years: Dianne (Marquette) Turtzo, one daughter: Denise Wexler and three sons: Anthony Turtzo, Ronald Turtzo, & Jeffery (Debra) Turtzo. He also leaves three grandchildren: Anthony Turtzo, Marcel Turtzo, & Joshua Wexler; three great grandchildren: Ciena Lanzoro, Kayla Lanzoro, & Brandon Veale; and two step grandchildren: Drew Ervin & Damien Ervin. There will be a funeral service at 1:00 PM on Saturday, January 7, 2017 at the Evoy Funeral Home, 3218 Bayshore Rd, North Cape May, NJ 08204; where friends will be received from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Interment will be private. The family suggests donations in Joseph's memory to the American Cancer Society, 1851 Old Cuthbert Rd, Cherry Hill, NJ 08034.
