Guy Jensen, age 79, of Wildwood Crest passed away Friday, December 16, 2016 at Genesis House Nursing Home. Guy was born July 28, 1937 in Wildwood Crest, NJ; and was a life-long area resident - except for a brief stay in Staten Island while in the Merchant Marines. He is the son of the late John O and the late Johanna (Toft) Jensen. Guy served in the US Navy and in the Merchant Marines. He graduated from Monmouth College with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting. During his working life he was an IRS Agent, Business Administrator of the New Jersey Marine Science Consortium, and was the Business Administrator/Board Secretary of Wildwood Public Schools from 1973 thru 1999. He was a member of Masonic Lodge #30 F&AM Cape Island Lodge, the Independence Square Club of Philadelphia, PA, and the Crest Community Church. Guy enjoyed boating, and fishing. He is survived by his wife of 52 years: Barbara (Hayes) Jensen, his daughter Kim Jensen, and his son Erik Jensen. There will be a Funeral Service at 11:00 AM on Thursday, December 22, 2016 at the Evoy Funeral Home, 3218 Bayshore Rd, North Cape May, NJ 08204; where friends will be received from 10:00 to 11:00 AM. Interment will be private.
