Lawrence B DiJoseph, age 76, of Cape May, NJ formerly of Glenside, PA passed away July 17 of complications due to a stroke. He was predeceased by his parents Dolly (nee Penecale) and Lawrence and a brother Charles. He is survived by his wife of 52 years Carol, daughters Krista of Ambler, Carol of Lansdale, Charlene Gore (Phillip) of Horsham and grandchildren Rory and Abigail. Larry lived his entire life in Glenside until three years ago when he and Carol moved to CapeMay fulfilling his dream of a place at the shore. Larry attended Abington schools and served in the United States Navy. He graduated from Montgomery County Community College and Villanova University. He joined the Abington Township Police Department in 1964 and retired in 1991 as a detective sergeant. He went on to become an investigator for the Pennsylvania Securities Commission for 6 years. Larry was recently recognized by the Montgomery County FOP Lodge #14 for his 50 years as a member and his generous support of their scholarship fund. He was also a member of W.K. Bray and Cape Island F.& A.M. Lodges. Larry was a true patriot. He loved his family and his country. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 AM Saturday, July 23. Visiting hour preceding the Mass at 10 AM at St Luke's RCC, Glenside, PA. Memorial donations in his memory may be made to the Montgomery County FOP Lodge #14 Scholarship Fund, 1874 Rampart Lane, Lansdale, PA 19446-5051.
