Robert Gillis, age 66, of Villas passed away Sunday, June 26, 2016 at Cape Regional Medical Center. Bob was born in Camden, NJ; but has been a Cape May area resident most of his life. He was a US Navy veteran serving during the Vietnam War. Bob was a retired Para-transit Driver for Cape May County for the past 15 years. Previously he worked at the Lobster House as a cook for 12 years. Bob was a life member of the Villas VFW Post 5343, the DAV Chapter 44 in Del Haven, and a member of the US Military Vets Motorcycle Club for 10 years. He is survived by his wife Judy; his brother-in-law and sister-in-law Edgar (Marion) Raff, Jr.; his sister-in-law and brother-in-law Sharon (Keen) Palmer; and his mother-in-law June Raff. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews, and close friends; including his special friends: Debbie & John, Diane & Kevin, and Denise. There will be a funeral service at 11:00 AM on Friday, July 1, 2016 at the Evoy Funeral Home, 3218 Bayshore Rd, North Cape May, NJ 08204; where friends and relatives will be received from 10:00 to 11:00 AM. Burial will follow at Cape May County Veteran's Cemetery, 127 Crest Haven Rd, Cape May Court House, NJ 08210.
