Steven J. "Steve" Monroe, age 56, of Cape May Court House passed away suddenly Monday, November 9, 2015 at Cape Regional Medical Center. Steve was born in Darby, PA; was formerly of Sharon Hill, PA; and has been a Cape May area resident since 1986. He was a Master Carpenter working for many years with Dave Apenzeller and Ralph Chambers. Steve last worked for ACME in Cape May Court House. He was a very avid fisherman and pool player. Steve is survived by the mother of his children Trudy DiMattia; his three children: Leon S Monroe, Matthew R Monroe, & Brian J Monroe; his brother Kenneth Monroe; and his niece Valerie Monroe. He also leaves behind his long time companion Deborah Jensen. There will be a funeral service at 11:30 AM on Saturday, November 14, 2105 at the Evoy Funeral Home, 3218 Bayshore Rd, North Cape May, NJ 08204; where friends will be received from 10:00 to 11:30 AM. Interment will be private.
