Captain Karl W Jones, Jr., age 66, of Del Haven, NJ and Harleysville, PA passed away peacefully Thursday, August 27, 2015 at his home. Karl was born in Somers Point, NJ, formerly of Harleysville, PA, and currently from Del Haven, NJ. He was a 1967 graduate of Lower Cape May Regional High School and a graduate of East Tennessee State University. Karl was formerly a Purchasing Manager for Freelance Inc. of Willow Grove, PA; until starting his own business Jones Purchasing Services LLC in 1985. He was a member of the Ambler Jaycees and Rotary Club of Springfield, PA. Karl was an avid fisherman, owned his own boat (the Summer Salts), and entered many fishing tournaments in the Cape May area. He was preceded in death by his parents Captain Karl W Jones, Sr. and Captain Marjorie (nee Ford) Jones. Karl is survived by his wife Linda (nee White) Jones of Del Haven, his son Jason Jones of Harleysville, PA, his daughter Melissa Jones of Fort Washington, PA, and his sister Suzanne Fredriksen of Ocala, FL. There will be a Memorial Service at 2:00 PM on Thursday, September 3, 2015 at the Evoy Funeral Home, 3218 Bayshore Rd, North Cape May, NJ 08204; where friends will be received from 1:00 to 2:00 PM.
