Dorothy A McCarthy, age 84, of Buena (formerly of Del Haven) passed away peacefully Sunday, July 26, 2015 at her home. Dorothy was born October 26, 1930 in Philadelphia, PA. She is the daughter of the late James Herbert and the late Dorothy (Weider) Gudknecht. Dorothy was employed by Garden State Photo, Hammonton, NJ. She was preceded in death by her husband Thomas J McCarthy, her daughter Dorothy Myrick, and her late brother Norman Gudknecht. Dorothy is survived by her brothers James Gudknecht and Charles Gudknecht, and many nieces & nephews. There will be a funeral service at 11:00 AM on Monday, August 3, 2015 at the Evoy Funeral Home, 3218 Bayshore Rd, North Cape May, NJ 08204; where friends will be received from 10:00 to 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at Cape May County Veteran's Cemetery, 127 Crest Haven Rd, Cape May Court House, NJ 08210.
