Henry J. Ahrendts, age 87, of Fishing Creek passed away on Saturday June 27, 2015 at his home. Henry was born in Philadelphia, Pa, formerly of Harrisburg, PA and resided in the Cape May area for the past 50 years having summered here for many years at his grandfather's home which was one of the first Millman Homes built in the Cape May area. Henry served his country in the US Navy during WW II and the Korean War. Henry had worked for Laws Printing in Erma for many years. He also had worked for Ed Zaberer's Restaurant in North Wildwood as a maitre d'and as a cooking instructor at Bayside State Prison. He enjoyed photography and woodworking in his garage shop. Henry is survived by his wife of 47 years Catherine; two sons, David Metz and Scott Ahrendts; two daughters Leslie Ahrendts-Edwards (Michael) and Heather Ahrendts (Dan Miglino). He also leaves two grandchildren. Funeral services will be held privately. Condolences will be received at www.evoyfuneralhome.com .
