Obituary of Bonnie C Engle

Engle, Bonnie C. (nee Rice) age 68. It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of their beloved mother, grandmother, sister and aunt. Bonnie passed peacefully on Thursday in the comfort of her home after a long battle with ovarian cancer. Bonnie was born May 24, 1947 in Somers Point , NJ and was raised in Wildwood Crest and has lived in North Cape May since 1969. Although retired, she spent 14 years employed as an Office Manager at the dental office of Susan M Mischissin, DMD Bonnie always kept herself busy by playing strategy and puzzle games, cleaning dishes or laundry, and tending to her plants she had around her room. Bonnie also greatly enjoyed the company of others…. Spending time with family, cracking jokes, and making people smile. "Great woman," "caring lady" "funniest person I know," and "the best" are just a few comments that come to mind when people think of Bonnie, She was predeceased by her husband, Robert (Bob)Engle (1982) her parents Charles and Pearl Rice. A sister Pamela Siner , brother Robert Rice and grandson Robert Doxzon. Bonnie lives on in her daughter: Terri Douglass (Mark); her sons: Robert Layre, Ken Layre (Jennifer) and, her nephew, Michael Siner (Danielle), her sister, Lauren Rice, and her 11 grandchildren, Lauren(Dan), Harley, Kenny, Brian, Austin, Dakota, Samantha, Jessica, Dillion, Paige, Daniel and four great grandchildren. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, June 29, 2015 at the Evoy Funeral Home, 3218 Bayshore Rd, N.Cape May where a viewing will be held from 10:00-11:00 am. Burial will be in Cold Spring Cemetery, Cold Spring Bonnie will be greatly missed by all of her extended family and friends, and will always live on in our hearts.
