Ernest Hanson, 84, of Townbank passed away at home on September 9, 2010 after a long illness. He worked for Edison Township Public Works for 40 years, before retiring to Townbank in 1989. He is survived by his loving wife of over 64 years, Mary (nee Bach) Hanson of Townbank; sister Martha Aleni of Princeton; two sons: Ernest (Georgia) Hanson of Toms River & Wayne (Joan) Hanson of Edison; three daughters: Marianne Grogg of N Cape May, Joann McCloskey of Townbank, & Brenda (Joseph) Baggett of Millville; as well as 8 grandchildren; and 9 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at Evoy Funeral Home, 3218 Bayshore Rd, N Cape May on Tuesday 9/14/2010 at 1:30 PM. Friends may call on Monday evening 6:00 to 8:00 PM and Tuesday 12:30 to 1:30 PM. Interment will follow the service at St Mary's Cemetery, Cold Spring, NJ. Donations in Ernest's memory can be made to the Alzheimers Assoc, 299 Cherry Hill Rd, Suite 201, Parsippany, NJ 07054.
