The newest of the Evoy Funeral Homes, Inc. at 3218 Bayshore Road in North Cape May, marks the culmination of over 100 years of funeral service in the Delaware Valley.

In 1879, Martin Evoy established the first parlors at 1939 Ridge Avenue in Philadelphia, subsequently moving in 1900  to 2809 Diamond Street where the establishment was maintained until 1942.

Martin Albert Evoy, son of the founder, entered the business in 1900.  In 1907, he helped his father to open a funeral home in Haddon Heights at High Street and White Horse Pike.  Several decades later it would become the Evoy-Banasz Funeral Home.  In 1926, a larger home was established at 205 Second Avenue in the suburban Camden community.
